######### Installing sendmail 8.12.1 ######

**Note**: Starting with sendmail 8.12, sendmail is no longer
set-user-ID root by default. As a result of this,
you need to install two .cf files. See steps 4 and 6 in this document.
We also strongly recommend reading sendmail/SECURITY for more
installation information.
(sendmail 8.12부터는 더이상 set-user-ID가 root이지 않아도 된다.
sendmail을 설치하기전에 smmsp라는 user 와 smmsp라는 그룹을 만들어둔다.)
(why? 보안땜시라네....)


1. Read all the README files noted in the INTRODUCTION
section of the README file in this top-level directory.


2. Create any necessary site configuration build files,
as noted in devtools/Site/README.

3. In the sendmail/ directory, run sh Build
(see sendmail/README for details).
sendmail 디렉토리로 가서 'sh Build' 실행

4. Change to the cf/cf/ directory (that's not a typo):
Copy whichever .mc file best matches your environment
to sendmail.mc, where config can be any name.
Next, tailor it as explained in cf/README.
Then run "sh Build sendmail.cf".
(cf/cf 디렉토리로 가서, 만약에 자신의 운영체제와 같은 .mc 화일이
없다면 비슷한 .mc 화일을 copy해서 sendmail.mc 화일을 만들자.
그런후에 "sh Build sendmail.cf" 실행하자.)
##### 참고로 SunOS 5.x 나 Solaris 7 version인 경우에는
generic-solaris.mc 화일을 sendmail.mc 로 copy하면 된다.

5. Back up your current /etc/mail/sendmail.cf and
the sendmail binary (whose location varies from operating
system to operating system, but is usually in /usr/sbin or /usr/lib).
(현재 메일서버를 운영중이라면 기존의 화일들을 안전하게 빽업해둔다.
제대로 설치가 안됐을 경우에는 어떻게될까나?)

6. Install sendmail.cf as /etc/mail/sendmail.cf and submit.cf as
/etc/mail/submit.cf. This can be done in the cf/cf by using
"sh Build install-cf".
(cf/cf 디렉토리에서 "sh Build install-cf" 실행한다. 그러면 )
/etc/mail/sendmail.cf <== 여기로 sendmail.cf가 날라갈 것이다.

Please read sendmail/SECURITY before continuing; you have to create a
new user smmsp and a new group smmsp for the default installation.
Then install the sendmail binary built in step 3 by cd-ing back to
sendmail/ and running "sh Build install".

7. For each of the associated sendmail utilities (makemap, mailstats, etc.),
read the README in the utility's directory. When you are ready to install
it, back up your installed version and type "sh Build install".
(기타 유틸리티들은 설치하던가 말던가.....알아서 하시고.
sendmail/ 디렉토리에서 마지막으로 "sh Build install" 하면 끝난것 같은디.)
(마지막으로 데몬만 살포시 띄워주면
/usr/lib/sendmail -L sm-mta -bd -q15m
제대로 돌아가려나? 안되면 다시 깔지머...)

8. If you are upgrading from an older version of sendmail and are using any
database maps, be sure to rebuild them with the new version of makemap,
in case you are now using a different (and thereby incompatible) version
of Berkeley DB.
